Regiunile metropolitane – o soluție pentru dezvoltarea României

Abstract


The main goal of this research is to bring into discussion another solution that could be suitable for Romania and its development. In this context of fnding the right path for the administrative reform, a rigorous spatial planning policy created around the metropolitan areas could create the prerequisites for a new and functional model of regionalization and administrative system at local and regional level. Metropolitan areas can be seen as growth po-les in a region and can be the bonds of such an entity so it is a mistake to neglect them in Romania’s situation.
