Rolul autorităților publice în dezvoltarea regional și implementarea politicii de coeziune
Abstract
This article aims to analyze a number of problems identified in the implementation of the cohesion policy, the main investment policy of the European Union meant to ensure regional development through a sustainable and dynamic growth of all regions of the EU and efficient capitalization of regional and local potential, in order to improve living conditions. Moreover, we considered to be of major importance to underline the role played by central and local public authorities in the regional development of Romania.
Finally, we aim to draw attention to the need of establishing partnerships between public authorities and various actors (private, public or voluntary/ non-governmental organizations), partnerships so necessary for the proper implementation of the Cohesion Policy instruments.
